Absolutely great disco. They read the room brilliantly and played the appropriate music whilst we were eating and then to get us up and dancing. A game of musical chairs to get the kiddies involved, plus the great old dancing classics and action songs. Thoroughly recommend.

The playlist was quite eclectic to say the least, and they were so dedicated they stayed up late the night before to make sure we were able to have all of our requests.

We were looking for a DJ to provide music for our wedding that wasn’t ‘super cheesy and cringe’ and after searching we were really pleased to locate Contrast Disco. We spoke with Gavin and immediately got a great vibe from him and could feel his passion for the music and enjoyment he gets from providing such a service. Compared to other people we spoke with we felt really confident that Contrast Disco would be right for us and we weren’t disappointed.
Gavin provided some really useful ideas and information for us. He was open to our guest’s music choices, but also conscious to insert them where and when appropriate into the playlist. We had been unsure of whether to have a first dance or not, but Gavin gave us his expert opinion, which helped put us at complete ease and decided to proceed at the timing that he suggested.
Setting up on the day provided quite a narrow timeframe, but Gavin had gone out of his way to contact the venue and make sure he knew exactly where he would be going and setting up within the space. He did really well to have everything in place in decent time for our use of the room. As part of Gavin’s standard package he also arranged for a monogram of our initials to be projected onto the wall and for uplighters around the room with flashes of our purple colour theme. The lights really came into their own as the evening progressed, providing some really nice extras to accompany the great sound quality. Our first dance was beautiful – providing us a spotlight whilst highlighting us to our guests also provided us the feeling of being alone making it all feel that bit more magical. The “anniversary’ dance” that Gavin suggested and orchestrated worked lovely. Gavin kept the music flowing seamlessly throughout the evening, playing something for everyone, but keeping within our requirements. We’re so pleased we hired Contrast Disco and would definitely recommend.
